Frozen Banana Bites Recipe

The first time I made these…

It was one of those days where I just needed chocolate — but also didn’t want to feel heavy or sluggish after. I spotted a couple of ripe bananas on the counter and remembered seeing something on Pinterest years ago…

So I sliced them up, dipped them in dark chocolate, popped them in the freezer — and OH MY. Cold, creamy centers. Crispy chocolate shell. Sweet, clean, so satisfying.

Now I make a batch almost every week during the summer. They’re the ultimate healthy treat for those late-night cravings or when the kids want something fun and frozen. 🍫🍌

🍌 Frozen Banana Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm bananas

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 🍌 Slice bananas into ½-inch rounds. Place on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 15–20 minutes.

  2. 🍫 Melt chocolate and coconut oil together in a small bowl (microwave in 20-second intervals or use a double boiler).

  3. ❄️ Dip each banana slice halfway into the chocolate. Let excess drip off.

  4. 🌰 Sprinkle with toppings if using, then place back on tray.

  5. 🧊 Freeze until solid (1–2 hours). Store in a sealed container or freezer bag.
