Grilled Blue Cheese Burgers Recipe

25 minutes blue cheese burgers easy recipes grilled recipes main dish summer dinners

I’ll be honest — I didn’t always love blue cheese. But one summer night, I decided to try it crumbled over a grilled burger. Game. Changer. The beef was juicy and smoky, and that creamy, sharp blue cheese just melted right into every bite. Now it’s my go-to when we’re grilling and I want something a little more grown up, a little more wow. Even my husband — who said he “wasn’t sure about blue cheese” — went back for seconds.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 is best)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 4 burger buns

  • ½ cup crumbled blue cheese

  • Optional toppings: caramelized onions, arugula, sliced tomato, Dijon mustard

  • Olive oil or melted butter for toasting buns

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Form beef into 4 patties. Season generously with salt and pepper.

  3. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

  4. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with blue cheese and close the grill lid to melt.

  5. Toast buns lightly on the grill.

  6. Assemble burgers with desired toppings. Serve hot and enjoy!
