Homemade Strawberry Milkshake Recipe

2 servings classic drink milkshake no-bake strawberry summer under 15 minutes

Some of my favorite memories are from summer nights at the old drive-in, sipping a thick strawberry milkshake in the backseat while watching a movie under the stars. That classic flavor — creamy vanilla, real strawberries, and just the right amount of sweetness — never gets old. Now, I make it at home in minutes for my kids (and yes, I still sneak a sip before handing it over).

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled

  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (if berries aren’t very sweet)

  • Whipped cream + extra strawberries for topping

Instructions:

  1. Blend:
Add ice cream, strawberries, milk, vanilla, and sweetener (if using) to a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. Adjust:
For a thicker shake, add more ice cream. For thinner, add a splash more milk.

  3. Serve:
Pour into tall glasses and top with whipped cream, a strawberry, or even a fun paper straw!

  4. Optional Add-Ins:
Add a scoop of protein powder, collagen, or blend in a banana for extra creaminess.
